This kit is everything you need to upgrade your metric steering assembly to a standard spline assembly. All it takes is a new upper shaft that will go right on through your existing upper bracket and your existing steering hub will go right on the shaft. The lower shaft will go onto the new upper shaft with it's 5/8 - 36 american splined U joints welded on for a much cleaner look than the bolt together unit. Now here is where you would think it gets pricey, the rack and pinion box. But in reality it is actually simple. You don't need a new rack box, all you do is swap out your pinion gear and use your existing rack gear and housing. All of which you will need is included in this kit!
